Danza Invisible, Tam Tam Go, OBK, José Mercé, Álex Ubago, Mikel Erentxu, and others will play at the concerts of the festival’s 1st edition in 2018.

The festival will hold 3 major concerts from September to December to promote tourism through wine and music, with all the acts playing at the bullring or the Carolina Coronado Theatre.

This September, the ‘Ribera del Guadiana’ is taking part in the first festival that it hopes will set a trend in Extremadura and throughout Spain by combining wine, music, tourism and culture.

The first Wine Music Festival will be held in the town of Almendralejo with the support of the ‘Ribera del Guadiana’ Designation of Origin, which aims to become an established and prominent event in the town.

The first edition of the ‘Wine Music Festival’ will be spread over three events, and kicjk off on Saturday, September 8, the official ‘Día de Extremadura’, with a concert in the bullring with renowned Spanish artists such as OBK, Danza Invisible, Tam Tam Go, Cómplices and Avalancha playing a tribute to the Heroes of Silence. The concert will take place in the bullring in the Badajoz town of Almendralejo, and tickets are available www.entradium.com, in the tourism office and various other places in the town. Tickets cost €20 in advance or €25 at the ticket office.

After this first event, the next one takes place on November 17, with a concert at the Carolina Coronado Theatre with Álex Ubago and Míkel Erentxu, and the last one is also at the theatre on December 1, with the flamenco artist, José Mercé performing.

‘Ribera del Guadiana’ Designation of Origin and Almendralego Town Council are both supporting the event and will set up marquees for those attending to sample the Ribera del Guadiana at a special price.

With this initiative, Ribera del Guadiana wants tourists to taste its wines and learn about the products that Extremadura has and the Designation of Origin’s award-winning wines.
