Collaboration worthy of an Oscar
BlueBay Gourmet wanted to be present at one of the most important cultural events of the year at the Goya Theater Cinemas in Marbella. The 12th edition of the Marbella International Film Festival takes place from the 4th to the 8th of October and brings together artists and their films from the four corners of the globe.
BlueBay Gourmet is proud to sponsor the event and has produced a promotional video that will be shown before the screenings, inviting those at the festival to come and discover our culinary offer.
BlueBay Gourmet is also supporting the festival by advertising on the brochures for the event, which also is also sponsored by the Marbella City Council and the Tourist Department, Marbella Film Office and the Andalucía Film Commission.
Film and gastronomy have always gone hand in hand, so we decided to take the opportunity here at BlueBay Gourmet to recommend some of the films made on the noble art of eating that we have enjoyed the most.
First up is ‘Mostly Martha’, a 2001 German film about Martha, a perfectionist chef who is so obsessed with her work she has no social life. But all that changes when she has to take care of her young niece after her sister is killed in a car accident.
‘Chocolat’, another box office hit from 2000, pays tribute to the ingredient we all love so much. It tells the story of a single woman who after moving to a small French village begins to win the villagers over thanks to her knack for knowing what type of chocloate each person in the village likes.
And from 1998 we have ‘American Cuisine’, which tells the story of a frustrated American chef who leaves the US Navy and goes to France to pursue his dream and work with an eccentric chef.
